planning your trip

Modesto On Ice Presented by Modesto Subaru (MOI) is a seasonal ice rink located in downtown Modesto on the corner of 11th and K streets. It’s open each year from mid-November through mid-January and is locally owned and operated by the Halsey family.

The City of Modesto operates parking garages and a couple pay-by-space lots within walking distance. Click here for information on the City’s parking.

The rink is an outdoor tent-covered venue and it’s generally just a few degrees colder on the ice than it is outside. There are a couple fire pits and patio heaters to warm you up during your skate session and a great place for parents and non-skaters to be while they watch their happy skaters.

Socks! Socks are required to be worn when you use our rental skates. We also suggest to dress in layers because sometimes you may get really warmed-up as you skate around the ice rink.

Yes! We have a fantastic snack shack that sells our famous Loaded Hot Cocoa, coffee, S’mores kits for use at our fire pits, and other treats.

We do not allow outside food or drink at the rink. We invite you to enjoy a hot drink and concessions from our Save Mart Snack Shack while you’re here.

Modesto has lots of great activities and food options nearby. Check out these sites for more information: VISIT MODESTO, DoMo, and ModestoView.

No problem! We offer beginning skating lessons but they fill-up fast, so to learn more or sign up, CLICK HERE. We also offer a limited amount of skate walkers for rent at $5 per session. They are a great way for skaters to build confidence as you learn to navigate the ice! Skaters ages 3-100 years of age are welcome on the ice :-)
